For the Galaxy S23 Ultra vs Galaxy S23 Plus vs Galaxy S23 case decision, Gorilla Cases offers a matched rugged case for each model, and the right one depends on size. The Galaxy S23 Ultra pairs with the aluminum Gorilla case, while the Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 each pair with a four-layer metal dustproof military case sized to match.
This guide is the best 3-way case comparison 2026 for these phones, built from real Gorilla Cases product listings. We compare dimensions, camera layouts, and the Gorilla case that fits each phone, and we flag honestly where a case is not the right size.
Welcome to the Gorilla Family. Always match the exact model name before you order, because these three phones are not interchangeable.
Why Choosing the Right Galaxy S23 Case Matters in 2026
The Galaxy S23 family looks similar from across the room, but the three phones differ in height, width, weight, and camera count. Those differences decide which case actually fits.
In 2026 all three phones are still in daily use, so a strong Galaxy S23 rugged case protects both the phone and its trade-in value. Gorilla Cases offers a matched rugged option for each size.
We compare the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 honestly, including where the product listings stop and where general phone specifications take over.
The best Galaxy S23 Ultra rugged case 2026 is not the best Galaxy S23 rugged case 2026, because a few millimeters change everything. A case that is too big slips and rattles, and a case that is too small will not close.
Size and Fit Comparison
| Model | Dimensions | Weight | Display | Rear cameras |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S23 Ultra | 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.9 mm | 234 g | 6.8 inch | Four lenses |
| Galaxy S23 Plus | 157.8 x 76.2 x 7.6 mm | 196 g | 6.6 inch | Three lenses |
| Galaxy S23 | 146.3 x 70.9 x 7.6 mm | 168 g | 6.1 inch | Three lenses |
Phone dimensions and weights above are manufacturer figures for each model, rounded for easy comparison. The Ultra is the tallest, widest, and thickest, while the Plus and the standard S23 share the same thickness.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra is the only one of the three with four rear lenses and an S Pen slot, so its case needs different cutouts. That is why a Plus or standard S23 case will never fit the Ultra, and an Ultra case will never fit the others.
The Plus and the standard Galaxy S23 share a three-lens layout but differ by about 11 mm in height and 5 mm in width. A case sized for one will be loose or too tight on the other.
For that reason, Gorilla Cases lists each case under its own model name. Always pick the case whose title matches your phone.

Illustrative Scenario: Three Phones, Three Lives
Picture this: three friends head out on a trail weekend, one with a Galaxy S23 Ultra, one with a Galaxy S23 Plus, and one with a Galaxy S23. Each phone rides in its own matched case.
The Ultra owner relies on the aluminum frame, the Plus owner on the dustproof seal, and the S23 owner on the compact four-layer build. This is an illustrative example, not a customer story.
At the trailhead one phone slides off a tailgate and another meets sand and sawdust. Matching the case to the model is what keeps each phone working.
