The Galaxy A32 5G and A22 5G sit next to each other in Samsung's mid-range and are constantly mistaken for one another. They are separate phones on separate chassis, and the two cases most people want for them solve completely different problems. Here is both halves of the question.
Galaxy A32 5G vs A22 5G: what separates them

The A22 5G is actually the larger phone despite the lower number — Samsung's naming does not track size. Add a different camera count and a different island shape and you have two phones that share nothing an accessory can bridge.

The Galaxy A32 5G: sealed waterproof protection
Like most of Samsung's mid-range, the A32 5G carries no IP rating from the factory. A sealed clamshell case is the way to give it one.
An IP68-class seal means dust-tight plus immersion beyond one metre. In practice that translates to: charging port protected from grit, no risk from rain or a dropped drink, and the phone survives a boat, a beach or a wet job site. The costs are quieter speakers, no cable access while closed, and real added bulk.
The Galaxy A22 5G: metal ring kickstand
The A22 5G is a 6.6-inch phone with a large battery, which makes it heavy and awkward one-handed. A metal ring case attacks that problem directly.
A ring case does three jobs at once:
- Grip. A finger through the ring means the phone cannot slip out of your hand, which prevents more drops than any amount of shock absorption cures.
- Stand. The ring rotates to prop the phone in landscape for video.
- Car mounting. The metal ring pairs with a magnetic dashboard mount — the simplest mounting solution for a phone with no built-in magnets.
The downside is that the ring adds a permanent bump to the back, so the phone will not lie flat and will not sit comfortably on a wireless charging pad.
Sealed case or ring case — how to choose
These are not competing answers to one question; they answer two different questions.
Choose sealed if your risk is environmental — water, dust, grit, weather. It is the only case type that prevents liquid damage, and liquid damage is unrepairable on a phone at this price point.
Choose the ring if your risk is dropping the phone. Most drops start as a fumble, and a finger loop stops fumbles happening at all. It is preventative rather than protective.
If you genuinely have both risks, a sealed case is the one to buy — you can add a stick-on ring to a shell later, but you cannot make a ring case waterproof.

Will an A32 5G case fit the 4G Galaxy A32? No. Samsung shipped the A32 4G and A32 5G on different chassis with different camera arrangements — the same trap as the A13 pairing.
Does the metal ring block wireless charging? These phones do not support Qi charging, so it is moot here. On a phone that does, a metal ring directly over the coil will block it.
Will the ring's magnet damage my phone? No. Phone components are not affected by the magnets used in phone mounts. Keep magnets away from hotel key cards and older magnetic-stripe cards, not from your phone.
How much protection does a ring case give? The ring cases in this style use a rigid shell with a metal plate — solid corner and back protection, but less shock absorption than a dedicated dual-layer rugged case.
