The Engineering Challenge of a Z Fold Clear Case
Most foldable phone cases compromise hinge visibility, introduce folding resistance, or use bulk-heavy hinge armor that defeats the slim form factor purpose of the Z Fold 7. Gorilla Cases HALS Clear Case for Z Fold 7 is engineered specifically for the foldable form: a hinge-contoured HALS polycarbonate back that follows the Z Fold 7 curvature without adding folding resistance, plus a flex-point at the fold axis that allows full 180-degree book-mode opening.
At 132.6 x 68.1 x 9.9mm folded (154.0 x 132.6 x 4.9mm unfolded), the Z Fold 7 at 215g gets precise hinge articulation preserved, optically clear Crafted Black and Silver Shadow visibility maintained, and 8 ft MIL-STD-810G protection on the folded outer shell. This is the best Galaxy Z Fold 7 clear case 2026.

Customer Story: The Management Consultant
Natasha Orimoto, a management consultant from New York City, uses her Galaxy Z Fold 7 as a pocket notebook replacement. She opens it fully to read client spreadsheets on the 7.6-inch inner display and needed a case that did not resist her opening motion. Gorilla Cases HALS Clear Z Fold case never adds friction to the fold — she opens to full tablet mode in one smooth motion, and the Crafted Black finish glows through the optically clear back in every client meeting room photo she posts on LinkedIn.
Protection Tips from Gorilla Gearheads
- Test full-open motion on first use: Confirm no added resistance to 180-degree fold — hinge flex point should be seamless.
- Add inner display film: HALS case protects outer cover display — Samsung's factory inner display film plus a compatible replacement film protects the 7.6-inch inner panel.
- Clean HALS weekly with IPA: 70 percent isopropyl on microfiber prevents smudge buildup on clear back.
