Why this case matters in 2026
Gorilla Cases offers rugged protection for Samsung Ultra phones because these devices are large, glass-backed, and expensive to repair. A Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S22 Ultra, or Galaxy S21 Ultra is still a daily driver for millions of people in 2026. Keeping one alive for another year or two saves real money compared with upgrading.
Older Ultra phones also hold their trade-in value better when they are free of cracks and dents. A rugged case is the cheapest way to protect that value. Every dollar spent on a case is a dollar you may get back at resale.
The three phones share a family look, but each one asks for something different from a case. The S23 Ultra has the newest 200 megapixel camera system. The S22 Ultra introduced the built-in S Pen slot that the S23 Ultra kept, and the S21 Ultra relies on an external S Pen.
10 key features to look for in a rugged Ultra case
Gorilla Cases offers a range of designs, and these ten features guide every pick in this comparison. Keep them in mind as you read the product notes below.
- Raised bezels that lift the screen off a flat surface.
- Camera protection around the large lens bump on the back.
- Corner reinforcement where most drops land.
- Precise cutouts for the USB-C port, speaker, and microphone.
- Responsive buttons that do not feel stiff.
- A secure fit that does not rattle or slip off.
- Kickstand or ring options for hands-free viewing.
- Wireless charging friendliness for daily use.
- Grip texture that helps in wet or cold hands.
- Color choices so the case feels like yours.
