The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus launched in 2017 with a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Display (the curved edge-to-edge design that eliminated the home button from Samsung flagships), Snapdragon 835 (US) or Exynos 8895, IP68 water resistance, a single 12MP rear camera with Dual Pixel PDAF, iris scanner and facial recognition, a USB-C port, and a rear-placed fingerprint sensor. In 2026 the Galaxy S8 Plus waterproof case remains the essential accessory for S8 Plus owners who use the device for its large curved display and IP68 native water resistance.
Why the Galaxy S8 Plus Curved Infinity Display Needs a Specialized Waterproof Case
The Galaxy S8 Plus was the first Samsung Galaxy S flagship to eliminate the front-facing physical home button in favor of an on-screen navigation bar — moving the fingerprint sensor to the rear beside the camera. The curved Infinity Display extends to the very edges of the glass on both sides, requiring a Galaxy S8 Plus waterproof case that seals the curved edges without leaving exposed gaps at the glass curve. Gorilla Cases engineers the S8 Plus waterproof case with curved-edge bezel coverage that follows the Infinity Display glass curvature for complete edge protection.
